Founded in 1977, Wong's Electronics Co., Ltd. (WEC) was primarily set up to manufacture products for OEM customers. Wong's Industrial (Holdings) Ltd. was established in 1979, with the incorporation of various businesses, and acted as the holding company of WEC. In 1983, following major expansion and reorganization, Wong's International (Holdings) Ltd. was formed as the holding company of the group. It was listed in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in the same year.
In 1986, we opened our first manufacturing facility for electronic product assembly in Shajing, People's Republic of China. To better serve our customers in and around the Greater China region, Wong's has also opened a new factory in Suzhou in 2003.
WEC offers a wide range of services including production, marketing, and manufacturing of telecommunication, broadband, office automation and entertainment electronics. With a capable and experienced in-house R&D and concurrent engineering team, we are able to offer complete design engineering and concurrent engineering to optimize product quality, production efficiency and cost reduction during each step of development from prototype to mass production.
Equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and equipment, strong management and a highly trained workforce - with rigid adherence to quality standards and procedures, and established strategic relationships with suppliers globally - we are able to extend to our clients a customized service, finely tuned to meet their specific needs with a view to establishing and retaining competitive advantages in the market. In recent years, Wong's has focused on the research and development of broadband and wireless solutions, office automation, telephone infrastructure, and the entire gamut of digital multi-media: TV, recorder, Set-Top-Box, DVD, digital camcorder, digital camera and car internet solutions.
